New release of web-based system allows users to create a seamlessly interactive reader experience in Adobe Reader 9 and Acrobat 9

VANCOUVER, British Columbia - June 16th, 2008 - Vitrium Systems, leading provider of smart PDF technologies, today released a major new version of the web-based docmetrics system. Docmetrics has been updated to anticipate the upcoming release of Adobe Reader 9 and Adobe Acrobat 9.

Docmetrics uses Adobe's Flash technology to transform standard PDFs into "smart documents". These enhanced PDFs use interactive in-document forms and Vitrium's unique "document analytics" technology to provide companies with data on who reads their PDFs and how readers engage with content.

The docmetrics system is designed to collect PDF reader data via a positive reading experience. The upcoming versions of Adobe's PDF viewers - Reader 9 and Acrobat 9 - will introduce features that will allow docmetrics users to provide readers with a more interactive in-document experience than ever before.

As a member of Adobe's technology partner program, Vitrium has been able work with pre-release beta versions of Reader 9 and Acrobat 9. This has allowed the company to ensure that smart documents will work more smoothly than ever before when the new versions of Adobe's viewers are released.
