VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Canada — February 14, 2006 — Vitrium Systems, the provider of digital rights management technology to secure PDF documents and the maker of the protectedpdf™ product suite, today announced that Ron Unger has joined the company as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Company’s Board of Directors.

A manufacturing industry visionary, Unger devised and provided environmental management solutions for a variety of service and manufacturing companies in British Columbia and Alberta. In 1994, he led a team to create and implement a BC-wide paint collection and reprocessing system, the first industry-led program of its kind in North America.

“Ron has a successful track record for spearheading the evaluation of business processes and strategic planning,” notes Narayan Sainaney, President and CTO of Vitrium Systems. “His experience consulting with a number of small to medium-sized private and public companies will be invaluable to Vitrium as we help developers make secure document protection come to life in any business product or system.”

“Vitrium Systems is well poised to break out digital rights management for document security to many industries that rely upon wide distribution, hardware integration, and access to secure documents as key business drivers,” states Ron Unger. “It is my pleasure to be among a list of esteemed executives and Board members who are industry influencers.”

Unger joined the Paint and Product Care Association as a consultant in 1997, was appointed President of the industry association in 2000, and led it through a merger in 2001, taking on the role of President and Chief Executive Officer for the new national industry association renamed “Product Care,” which was formed to represent environmental stewardship interests for companies as diverse as Walmart, Canadian Tire, SC Johnson, Procter & Gamble, Benjamin Moore, Shell, Esso, ICI and Monsanto. Today, Product Care manages government regulated, environmental stewardship programs for every major paint, solvent, pesticide and petroleum manufacturer in Canada.

From 2002-2004, Ron was engaged by a private, Vancouver-based holding company, initially in the role of Vice President and then Chief Operating Officer for its environmental division, which included western Canadian companies involved in transfer station, landfill, recycling and oil re-refining services.. More recently, he has consulted to a number of small to medium-sized private and public companies on business processes and strategic planning.

A widely recognized thought leader in his field, in 1997 Goldberg founded WebCT, now the world’s leading provider of asynchronous educational tools.

e-Commerce VP of Preeminent U.S. Company Brings Deep Understanding of Consumer and Business Technology Adoption

For Immediate Release

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Canada — November 2, 2005 — Vitrium Systems, a provider of digital rights management technology and the maker of the Protectedpdf™ product suite, today announced that Geoffrey Adamson, Vice President of e-Commerce at Bank of America, has joined the company’s board of directors.

A 15+ year financial services industry veteran, Adamson has an intimate knowledge of what makes the promise of e-commerce reality. In his role at Bank of America he has helped one of the largest and best-known brands in the world implement e-commerce technology and realize its profitability with more than 15 million customers now online. Adamson has been part of the team that has driven the transition to electronic documents and established Bank of America as the world’s number one online financial service.

Adamson came to Bank of America from Stanford Business School. At Stanford he worked with business and academic leaders in Internet technology and financial services building an understanding of patterns of adoption.

“With our Protectedpdf™ suite Vitrium Systems is working to establish a trusted brand for document protection and monitoring,” explains Narayan Sainaney, President and CTO of Vitrium Systems. “Geoff knows a lot about what it takes to maintain a trusted brand. He also brings us unparalleled perspective into how consumers and businesspeople adopt and use software and web technology in general and electronic documents in particular. We’re very pleased to have him on our board.”

“Electronic business documents like PDFs may now be ubiquitous, but in many ways they haven’t been meeting the average user’s needs,” says Adamson. “I’m excited to be involved with a company that is changing that, and look forward to working with Narayan and his very talented team.”
