Online Access - Access Secure File with Internet Connection
When a user is online, Vitrium consistently checks that the security parameters have not been interrupted, confirming that a user accessing a file is doing so within the limits set by the content publisher. With internet connection, Vitrium's technology confirms parameters like browser limits, open limits, IP restrictions, and so on have not been exceeded or compromised, and if it finds that a security or DRM measure set up by the content publisher has been breached, it automatically locks the user out of the content.
Offline Access - Access Secure File with No Internet Connection
In some cases, users need to access content when there is no internet connection. Vitrium customers can establish those permission in Vitrium's DRM Policy settings. By allowing Access Control - Offline Access and setting a specific number of days as a limit, Vitrium customers allow their audience a time window to access the content without internet. The number of days determined is the number of days a user will have access to the content file on a specific device before Vitrium interrupts access to the file.
How Vitrium's Offline Access Functionality works:
Users can access the secure PDF and Secure Weblink when offline, with no internet connection, once they have authenticated the content on that device. As a Vitrium customer, you can set an offline period in the DRM settings to allow how many days users are able to view the content while offline.
