Strengthening Our Security Infrastructure

Vitrium is migrating our MS Azure East US infrastructure to an application gateway that provides web application firewall (WAF), centralized certification management, more efficient application deployments (SaaS upgrades), and more. We will also be applying all the necessary operating system security updates.

Adding More TLS Ciphers

In addition, are adding more TLS ciphers. These are the TLS ciphers that will be supported after the migration:

  • TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA256
  • TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_GCM_SHA256
  • TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA384
  • TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_GCM_SHA384
  • TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA256 (new)
  • TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_AES_128_GCM_SHA256 (new)
  • TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA384 (new)
  • TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 (new)

New IP Addresses

For reference, the following IP addresses are the host public IPs. All the existing subdomain names and custom domain names including their DNS routing will remain in place. If you have whitelisted our servers using IPs, then we're simply confirming the IPs as follows:

  • 40.76.133.178 - USA Prod Load Balancer - for our SaaS application
  • 20.228.182.171 - USA Prod API Server - this is a special host that provides the "External Service" for some of our customers' integrations. It is not expected, but a few customers should also be aware of this temporary IP, 20.253.205.200, in case you're whitelisting your integration with us by IP.

Next Up: Rollout of our New Automated SSL Certification Process

*Only applicable to customers that customize the web viewer or portal URL.

Once we are fully migrated to the new environment, Vitrium will finalize our plans to contend with the SSL/TLS certificate lifespans that are being reduced, from the current maximum of 398 days to 200 days starting March 15, 2026, with a further reduction to 47 days by 2029.

Our new automated SSL certificate process will include the following:

  • Adding a new section for you to manage this process in the Vitrium Admin UI
  • Allowing you to upload & self-manage your SSL certificates
  • Starting to utilize Let’s Encrypt for the automatic SSL certificate renewal process

Final Note

Please note, this maintenance event and its scheduled date & time have been chosen to have the least global impact on all our customers. We appreciate that we cannot accommodate all our customers' different time zones and schedules, but these maintenance events are very critical to maintaining a healthy and secure server environment. We trust that this advance notice will help your organizations make any appropriate plans to notify your own customers and users.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Vitrium team.
