Direct Links

You can link directly to a specific web viewer document in an email or the system that you use to distribute content to your users. You can even link to a specific page or bookmark within that content!

Direct Link to Web Viewer Content

You can add direct links to a single web viewer content or multiple content. You can add direct links:

  • In an email that you're sending to a client or partner
  • In a document or web page that you want someone to review
  • On your website or in the system that you use to distribute content to your users

Be sure the user knows their login credentials or you've set up single sign-on (SSO) access!

Here is an example of Vitrium's own content using Social DRM (so no login credentials are required):

Link to Specific Page in Web Viewer

You may want to link to specific pages for certain sections, chapters, or to link someone to some key information they should check out. Only use page links if you do not expect to make change to your content, or if the pages won't change.

Add #page=_ at the end of your web viewer link.

Here are some examples of specific pages to check out in Vitrium’s own Error Code Reference Guide:

Page 5: https://view.protectedpdf.com/PKRXzW#page=5
Page 7: https://view.protectedpdf.com/PKRXzW#page=7
important note
It is recommended to use #bookmarks rather than #pages if you expect to make updates to your content where sections will move to different pages.

Link to Specific Bookmark in Web Viewer

If you have an eBook, course material, training guide, standards document, or some other content that you want to include links to specific sections or chapters, then you can add direct links to bookmarks in your content like this:

Adding Users: https://view.protectedpdf.com/NpcYTE#bookmark=adding%20users
DRM Policy Settings: https://view.protectedpdf.com/NpcYTE#bookmark=drm%20policy%20settings
Watermark Settings: https://view.protectedpdf.com/NpcYTE#bookmark=watermark%20settings

Bookmark links will only work as long as these were already set up in your original file that you uploaded.

important note
It is important to note that the %20 should be used to represent spaces in bookmarks where necessary.
